## In one sentence

For every hour of the week, the median of the fee rate that reliably got into blocks mined in that hour, over the last four weeks.

## How it's worked out

- For every block, our node works out the fee-rate percentiles from each transaction's exact fee rate. (Bitcoin Core's own figures are rounded to whole sat/vB, which reads as 0 for most blocks at today's fees; they are used only for older blocks.)
- The **10th percentile** is used as "the rate that reliably got in". The very bottom of a block often holds odd cases, such as a pool's own payouts, so the 10th percentile is a truer floor than the minimum.
- Blocks are grouped by **hour of the week on the viewer's own clock**, and each slot shows the median.

## Known limits

- Four weeks gives about four samples per slot, so a single fee spike can move a slot.
- A dashboard that has been running for less than four weeks has less to go on; the card's note says how many days it actually covers.
- "Cheap on Sunday mornings" is a habit of the market, not a promise.
